I had the cyclosporiasis.

It came in early May and finally left about 2 weeks ago, about the 1st week of July. I cleaned up after myself sometimes 2 times a night. I usually had very little trouble during the day. (A couple of glaring exceptions)

It usually struck when I'd go to bed: the gurgling, bloating, and constant rumbling, culminating in violent explosive diarrhea, several times a night.

I can only pinpoint 1 possible instance that might have been my exposure: the accidental inclusion of lettuce in a wrap/sandwich.

I went through weeks of tests for every known disease, only to be told it was unknown what was affecting me.

This, cyclosporiasis, was the answer a friend came up with 4 weeks before the outbreak became public. (Therefore, I didn't get the appropriate treatment, but multiple prescriptions to stop the wracking diarrhea)

Yikes, I'm hoping you are feeling so much better now. It sounds so dangerous, since it depletes the body of necessary fluids. Be well 🌺

It was ghastly! I kept slamming water, electrolytes etc. I feel like a new person

Had you eaten at Taco Bell? Or bought Taylor Farms salad? I think many people didn't know what to do.

Neither. This happened in early May, around the 5th. The rest is history. I wasn't amused.

The purposeful negligence of firing the qualified people running the agencies that protect the public on all levels is IMO Crimes Against Humanity that Trump is responsible for as he was for the spread of Covid, I feel he should be held accountable for murdering people.

The cases are going up because Elon Musk fired everyone who inspects where these foods are made and prepared!

Same reason we have the screw worm in the cows because all the people who used to inspect these things and it was their job to keep them contained are all fired now thanks to this administration

So many people lost their healthcare

People will now start to die because they can no longer go to doctors or hospitals

Seems like maybe he celebrated taco Tuesday and ate some of that tainted lettuce.

Please talk about the role of AI in insurance. Several states are piloting a program called WISeR, which is an AI system to make PA decisions under the Medicare Advantage Plans. Not only will this lead to more denials, but this directly threatens my job as a nurse working for an insurance company.

Great podcast. You helped me put news pieces together in a larger framework. Greatest point: Pain is coming, but so are possible, eventual solutions.
